It seems there was a noticeable change in your internet speed about a month ago. Initially, the ping was around 12-18ms, but it jumped to 23-31ms. I tried resetting the router and replacing the splitter, but the issue persists. My laptop shows much lower latency—4-5ms—while my PC registers 25-26ms using the same cable. It’s unclear if the problem lies with hardware or software. My PC specs are quite advanced: i9-9900K, MSI 3060, 16GB Corsair Vengeance 3200 RAM, water-cooled, and a Gigabyte Z390 U board. Anyone have any insights?

It causes some interference during gameplay, though it’s not a major issue. I’m unsure what would resolve the problem.

I have a gigabit router and a 2 gigabit Ethernet adapter, but I’m seeing speeds between 400-450 Mbps. When using the Ethernet adapter over power, my connection drops to 150-170 Mbps—still solid. I suspect the issue lies with my computer’s network settings or ping-related problems.

I just transferred my PC from my room to my office and connected it directly to the router—it worked fine, so the issue isn’t with the adapter. I’m not sure if it’s Comcast or Xfinity, or if the problem lies with my PC itself. The update failure is puzzling too. Thanks for your support so far.
