the game really demands some CPU power but shouldn't be completely demanding. it used to have those shader optimizers that would often fail on the first run, so maybe they moved them to the background now. try running it for about 15 minutes to see if it improves. regarding temperatures, if your CPU is drawing around 200 watts, 90°C should be fine, possibly due to airflow. check if the game becomes more stable after the shaders are optimized.
