Why is my cpu so HOT
I'm using a Ryzen 9 5900x with an MSI water cooler that's 360mm. Even when idle, it stays around 60°C to 70°C. After gaming for about an hour, it starts throttling—dropping from over 3.7 GHz down to roughly 0.7 to 1.7 GHz. It seems the CPU isn't cooling properly or the cooler isn't working well. The other components like the motherboard and RAM are fine, but the fans aren't helping enough.
Which version? If it's a MagCoreliquid, verify your model against this recall list: https://us.msi.com/Landing/liquid-cooler...ation?s=09
MSI has removed several defective AIO units. It’s worth looking into their website, but if the mounting and paste are in order, it seems like a cooling system issue.
