My hard drive gets very slow when trying to open folders, especially while running Cinebench or the newer version. This happens because Windows 11 has a known issue that can make storage lag, even if it usually isn't that bad.

I am pulling this data right now and I'm seeing the exact same slow speed. It's the file itself, not your computer. The zip file has 24,000 items.

My hard drive gets really slow when it needs to take out pictures from folders, especially on movies like Cinebench R23 or the new one. I am running Windows 11 and I know there is a bug that makes SSDs slower on this system but maybe not that bad?

It might just take up lots of small files and slow things down if you use big ones instead. Maybe installing nvidia's newest drivers in 2024 will give me a better score to compare against my old 5800x3d card when I start using it.

It usually happens right at the very end of the decompression, but you don't expect that to be the case.

I am getting it right now, but my speed is still slow. It's the file that's causing this problem, not your computer at all. There are 24,000 things inside that zip file.

It is cool because the drive did so okay on tests, even though that sounds weird to me.

The 970 Evo runs the same way. It downloads about 1.2 gigabytes but ends up with a 2.35-gigabyte file. That extra space is probably just some noise. My graphics card looks pretty good in this test... more people should run tests to compare, and it's double what my 2070 Super can do.

My 6800 scored almost 9000, and my CPU did something even better with multiple cores.

I have not touched the CPUs yet. I'm going to do that after I change them out.
