Why is Mafia 2 unable to be installed?
I’m unable to fully install Mafia 2 on my computer. During installation, a pop-up message appears after 87% completion with the following text: “An error occurred while unpacking: file does not match checksum! Unarc.dll returned an error code:- 12. Error: C:\Programme files\vickgames\Mafia two. CRC failed.” I’ve researched this issue online and attempted numerous solutions without success. My system specifications are as follows:
Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit
Processor: Intel Core i5 3.2GHz ™
RAM: 6GB
Graphics Card: Integrated Intel HD Graphics with 1.5 GB memory
Dedicated Video Memory: 256MB
Hard Drive: 1 TB with 100 GB available on the C: drive
I have already tried the following methods: compatibility mode, running as administrator while disabling antivirus software, replacing isdone.dll and unarc.dll files downloaded from the internet, redownloading the files (which were partially WinRAR archives), performing a DISK clean-up, installing in safe mode. Please advise on what steps to take to resolve this problem.
