Yeah, I'm using the standard Xfinity cable internet setup, with a Coda56 modem and an Eero Pro 6 router. No other devices connected.
Bufferbloat is a remedy seeking a remedy... not a real concern for most users.
It appears only when your internet speed is at its maximum. It stores data instead of letting it pass, which helps in general but can be problematic for online games.
Online games typically use around 1mbps, so it won’t overload your connection and will never cause bufferbloat.
If you’re intentionally pushing your internet to its limit using QoS settings, it’s quite unusual.
With high-speed connections today, questioning your actions is unnecessary.
Generally, any QoS measure slows down data transmission.
With very fast internet, you’ll never experience queuing issues and everything will be sent instantly.
