Most creators avoid the euphoria natural motion physics engine in their projects. It seems to be a point of contention, especially in certain titles. The only developer I've seen using ragdolls recently is Rockstar. Their choice remains unclear—why would they pick it over other options? Not every game developer adopts it because it doesn’t always enhance the experience.

A license might cost more than building your own system.

I assume it was licensing, similar to GTA IV, which means there wasn't another explanation for the lack of it in GTA V.

It seems the details are hidden in the copyright section, though they aren’t clearly highlighted.

It's not a central gameplay element. Developers are struggling to complete the games, so we shouldn't add more distractions. They need time to learn how to use it and figure out proper implementation for all features. It might require investment. 3.1 If it's free, it could be restricted or don't fully match the developer's vision. You'll notice many creators share videos about technology saying "it was quite limited so we just built it ourselves." 4. Simpler alternatives exist. Characters could animate quickly or vanish upon death instead. Perhaps they're using a different ragdoll system. 5. Most players aren't interested.

Focus on optimization and time limits. Unless your game involves body-stacking physics puzzles, ragdoll mechanics aren't essential.

It’s overly detailed for young audiences, making GTA V’s physics less intense to match the preferences of kids who felt disappointed by GTA IV’s realism.
