Why does my RAM speed automatically set to 2400Mhz when I begin using my PC?
I recently purchased 16x2gb of RAM and added them to my existing 8x2gb Kingston Fury units. Both are 3600Mhz, yet when I launch my PC and open Task Manager it displays a speed of 2400Mhz. The BIOS also shows 2400Mhz, even though the A-XMP profile is enabled. My CPU is a Ryzen 5 5600 and the motherboard is MSI 550B.
Task Manager isn't a trustworthy method for checking RAM speed. Results are usually unreliable.

With a 2x16GB setup you should be able to reach faster RAM speeds compared to a 4-module setup.
16gb models run with KF3600C18D4/16GX
8gb models use KF3600C16D4/8GX
using double 16gb gives a speed of 2400MHZ
Enter BIOS, adjust latencies to 18-22-22-42, set DDR voltage to 1.35V, Command Rate to 2T, DRAM frequency to 2400mhz and perform testing.
Rise DRAM frequency slowly, restart after each adjustment and retest at intervals: 2600, 2800, 2933, 3000, 3200, 3400, 3600mhz.
If testing fails, revert to the previous successful settings.

Sharing this now. The two sets of memory components differ entirely—one uses Samsung, the other Hynix. This aligns with our earlier conversation.
