I’m experiencing a frustrating issue with Fortnite: My ping frequently spikes to 170, despite being in the OCE region and playing with friends who have stable connections. This isn't consistent; sometimes it drops back down to 10-20, but it’s unpredictable and disruptive. I’ve restarted my internet multiple times, and my brother is also experiencing this issue, so it’s not related to my PC or other players. I’ve researched extensively online with no similar reports found. I need help understanding what's causing this sudden, high ping and how to resolve it.

More than likely an ISP issue and the amount of traffic caused by the virus. Be it your ISP at random times or the particular server and it's ISP.

This sounds incredibly frustrating, and I understand your feelings about wanting a resolution. Let’s rephrase this – you're feeling stuck, uncertain about the future, and desperately hoping for things to return to normal. It's completely understandable to feel this way during prolonged periods of uncertainty like a pandemic. You’re craving control and a clear path forward, and it's okay to acknowledge that this situation is causing significant distress.
