While using FH5, I achieve around 75 frames per second, which is the highest possible with my 75Hz display. I use high presets and have half of the graphics options in ultra mode. In ETS2 with ultra settings, I only get between 28 to 30 FPS, and sometimes the frame rate drops. This is unusual since FH5 features more demanding and advanced graphics compared to ETS2. FH5 fully utilizes the GPU, reaching its maximum frequency, whereas ETS2 also uses full GPU capacity but doesn’t hit that peak.

I’ve learned that FH5 employs ForzaTech, which is tailored for console games and appears to use GPU resources more efficiently than ETS2’s Prism3D. Despite this, I find it puzzling that performance differences remain so large even though the CPU handles less than half the workload in both titles.

Could there be a way to boost ETS2’s FPS without sacrificing image quality at 1920x1080? Or is it possible to eliminate frame rate drops without lowering settings for Prism3D?

Nothing particular stands out, yet given how old ETS2 is in comparison to FH5, I recall playing it in college when it was first released. I think the engine optimizations would have been quite different back then. These two versions are roughly a decade apart in release. I haven’t followed up on updates for about seven years now, and I’m unsure what changes have occurred since. It seems unlikely they’d completely redesign its core engine to achieve optimal performance on today’s hardware. Perhaps using a GPU monitoring tool like GPU-Z or HWInfo could help identify the bottleneck.

In both games the GPU achieves maximum performance while the CPU remains significantly below 50%. Despite the shop claiming this setup would result in minimal bottlenecking, I believe it still performs well.
