Why do I think that cold weather gives me extra room on my CPU clock?
Hey guys, so I just set up my first character with my aorus 2070 super using afterburner OC scanner. I only see a tiny difference mostly because of the temps. Normally I have 1995mhz in-game and now it's around 2010 when it starts and 2000 by the time it heats up. Honestly, I think that's just from moving the power limit slider. I didn't notice any change on the dial itself. I'll say that if you open the curve and switch profiles back and forth it does change but very tinyly. Thanks in advance for any help!
It's hard to tell what settings are doing anything in this software because the sounds don't sound right for deep tweaking, and there are power caps (watts) that stop you even if you try harder. Plus, the chip itself has a limit on how fast it can go no matter how much voltage you give it.
You're probably changing all the right settings in your software for your OC (Overclock), but you don't seem like you are pushing everything possible from your computer. There are also power limits (watts) that will stop you before you get too high unless you do a custom vBIOS. And there are silicon limits on how much voltage a chip can handle, no matter what settings you set it to.
