Hey! So what made you move over to playing on a PC? Many of my friends say they only use PCs these days, but I really like playing on my Xbox 😂

I've always wanted a PC because there are so many choices available, plus I don't need to pay for online stuff and get extra colors like RGB!

That makes sense! My buddies always joke that it is simpler when you have a keyboard lol.

Basically amazing for its flexibility, but exclusive games might not be around forever either. Plus, there are tons of ways to customize things!

I never bought a console myself, but I played my friend's lots of times and tried to buy gamepads to race games on PC. After trying that, here is what makes me want to switch from PC: gamepads are bad for aiming, and honestly, they feel slower when steering in racing games too. Also, binding options usually work better with keyboard and mouse instead of sticks, and you get much more graphics on PC. When it comes down to it, the only time a game runs smoother on a controller is when developers forget to make good PC versions like GoW 2018 where you have to tap twice to dodge, but that's not true for all games. Most popular titles can still be played on a PC with a controller, so PC still wins. The only real advantage controllers have now is lower prices for the games. Used to be new console games stayed expensive longer while PC copies came at discounts. Now it's the other way around. Recently, Sony and Microsoft released some great PC versions of old exclusive games like Days Gone, Halo Infinite, and God of War 2018. Hopefully this trend keeps going, but I would also love to see controllers get a bit better for keyboard and mouse users in those ports. Honestly though, for the most part, things have been smooth sailing regarding controls so far.

I love playing free games too, even if some say you have to pay just to play. They take up time for sure. lol. being disabled makes me feel bad because I need more time for my own stuff so I try a different way as a gamer though. no complaints at all. Also I like MMOs and there are so many free ones (yes, even if they require money) that is crazy fun to have.

Upgrading is hard on consoles because you can only swap parts like storage, not the main processor. I didn't pick a console; my PC already had both CPUs and GPUs built in. Taking sides in this fight between hardware companies isn't useful since customers just want fun games, but makers are fine working together. I use a PC mostly now since consoles keep getting pricey. The gap between them is smaller than before too. PCs last longer because you can swap out things that break. Also, the types of games I like don't play well when controls get limited on consoles.

Ive always felt like the equal ones when it comes to gaming consoles or PCs since 2004 (though maybe even earlier, but mostly used PSX and Dreamcast back then). My first computer that I played games on was an HP Pavilion desktop where i used to play Delta Force 2, SWAT 3, NASCAR Racing 2/3/4, Motocross Madness 1/2, AoE, Rise of Nations, SIMS, and other stuff. Then I got my XBOX and stayed a hardcore console gamer for a while until the HP Pavillion came back to life with me in 2004, then i used to play Half Life and Counterstrike (and their mods) and do skins up until around 4AM. Then BF2 came out and took up so much of my time. Then the XBOX 360 hit... I finally got my own one a year after it launched and was very hardcore into console gaming, playing the heck out of Oblivion, Halo 2, Gears of War, Kameo, and other games until Halo 3 and COD MW dropped, and i played those games a lot. But then, i discovered MMOs... Id play SW Galaxies on free to play random sites, and then WoW... That was when I became a big PC gamer (on top of the Xbox 360 too). So for a long time, i was on both sides equally and built a new machine to play WoW Wrath of the Lich King and the upcoming BF3, but now... here we are in 2022. I have an Xbox One X and a Switch, but they really dont get much play time anymore since i finally decided to jump and build a new computer because i couldnt get my hands on an Xbox Series X or a PS5. So the time that i became almost solely a PC gamer was 2021... The games look better, theres a HUGE variety, and a lot of games id play on console can be played on PC. Lets not forget about emulation as well.

I've never been a real console gamer. Honestly, I feel like my brain is stuck when it comes to holding a controller that sticks too tight. Also way back in the day, playing on consoles felt totally different than playing on a PC because of how good the graphics were. That changed only after we got PS2 and Xbox 360, but by then I was already hooked into gaming on my PC while playing MMOs or shooting action games. On the few times I tried to play Halo on an Xbox, I had to set up the controller in weird mode (I think it's called "funky mode"). It made the controls backwards and also messed up how the gun moved when you turned. I'm not sure if that same weird option exists on a PlayStation. I remember having trouble playing Call of Duty on my PS3 once too, so I usually just used silly moves to have fun like rushing people with guns or shooting at high power until they ran out of ammo because staying in the fight was always tough for me.

For me, it was about getting new graphics and faster disks whenever I wanted, but modding games also fascinated me back then. I needed better aim with my mouse for fast-paced shooters like RTS games. Today, I still love the best parts of both worlds and mostly play on consoles, especially third-person shooters or exclusive titles that are too good to wait for a PC version.
