Why can't I connect to the Internet after a BSOD (Firewall & Services Won’t Start)?
Hello, I'm facing serious problems with my Windows system following a sudden BSOD crash. The main problem is that I can't access the internet, even though my LAN connection is recognized. Also, Windows Defender Firewall and several services aren't launching, making it hard to diagnose the issue properly.
Summary of issues:
- Internet access lost after BSOD
- LAN detected but stuck in "Identifying..."
- Windows Defender Firewall fails to start
- Error during restore/restart attempts
- Firewall-related services won’t launch
- Base Filtering Engine and other dependencies not starting, likely due to registry problems
- Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection Service can't be started manually
sfc /scannow reports no integrity issues.
netsh advfirewall reset fails with the message: "An error occurred while attempting to contact Windows Defender Firewall..."
Any assistance or advice would be very much appreciated! Thank you in advance.
