Why can people still hear the output from my headset even when muted?
For a sudden reason, my microphone sensitivity dropped so much that others could clearly hear themselves through it. If I lowered it, they wouldn't be able to hear me at all but would only catch the sounds faintly. In total, they heard more than I did, and if I lowered it again, they wouldn't be able to pick up my voice. On top of this, the mute button on the side sometimes lets them hear through even when muted. Thank you.

Right-click the small speaker icon in the lower right corner of the screen.
A menu will open with several options, each leading to additional windows, tabs, and properties.
Consider using the troubleshooter first.
If that doesn’t help, examine the other menu choices and their configuration settings.
It’s possible an update altered a setting.
