While using a game, I've noticed that attempting to modify settings within other programs—such as Spotify or Discord—causes my computer to become unresponsive. The system freezes immediately, without triggering a blue screen or crash, though I can occasionally access Task Manager with limited functionality. Movement of the mouse is possible, but other actions are blocked; I frequently need to force a restart by holding down the power button. This issue began recently, after five years of use with my PC, which features a dual monitor configuration. My system specifications include an Intel i5-4690k processor with a NZXT AIO cooler, a GTX 970 graphics card, 8GB of 1800MHz RAM, a 120GB SSD as the primary drive, and two additional storage devices: a 1TB SSD and a 1TB HDD, all powered by an 800W power supply.

The suitability varies depending on the specific game. Eight gigabytes might feel insufficient for running graphically intensive titles, and attempting to shift resources to another application concurrently could exacerbate performance issues.

The suitability varies based on the specific game. Eight gigabytes might feel insufficient for smoothly playing a resource-intensive title, especially when simultaneously switching between applications and altering research settings.
