I saw my fiancé try it and I gave it a shot... It felt much simpler, though I actually like 3 to 4 atmospheres better. Since it was just released, it seemed great.

I've just done a bunch of reading about the game, and I do have to say, I'm really disappointed with the game. There are so many removed features and I don't even like the graphics very much. Sure, the Create a Sim mechanics are cool, as are the house building mechanics, but the rest to me is just disappointing. I'm going to wait until they've released some patches and a couple expansion packs before I consider it again.
