Hi,
I hope you can assist in figuring out a rather unusual problem I'm facing, since I'm running out of options.
About a week back, my PC wouldn't start properly. The QLEDs would display red, then transition to amber and finally white, following the usual POST sequence, but once it reached white, it stayed there. All RGB and fans were active, yet no screen appeared. After several reboots—ranging from 5 minutes to an hour—I eventually managed to get it back online. Once in Safe mode, the BIOS screen forces me into BIOS, after which normal Windows loading occurs. From then on, everything works perfectly. I can restart and it will start again every time. I play demanding games and run benchmarks without issues.
However, when I turn off the PC overnight and turn it back on the next morning, the same problem recurs.
I've updated the BIOS multiple times, reset it to defaults, cleared CMOS, removed my GPU entirely and connected it directly via HDMI, and even swapped RAM sticks so only one was in A2 while the other was in A1. The amber light would stay on longer during these changes, possibly indicating a memory check, but it eventually progressed to white QLED for VGA where it remained.
None of these steps resolved the issue. Eventually, I do manage to start up, but I can't find a consistent way to fix it. It seems to happen only after a night's inactivity.
I'm not sure how important these adjustments are, but I've noticed them throughout this troubleshooting phase.
My keyboard (connected via USB) occasionally turns on, as if it's only active when loading USB devices. Sometimes, very rarely—perhaps three times out of hundreds—I actually open Windows, and I can hear the system sound, but the white QLED stays on with no display. I've tried using Winkey+ctrl+shift+B to reset GPU drivers, and the system sounds work, yet the screen remains white and inactive.
My main thought right now is that the PC might not function well when it's cold, and the reboots help bring it up. But it doesn't make much sense for this to become a problem suddenly, especially after months of use or during the last winter when I first started using this machine. I've placed a heater near it, but I haven't tried anything yet.

CPU cooler: Arctic Liquid Freezer III - 240mm
Check the CPU socket for any bent or broken pins. When securing the cooler, avoid tightening completely; just place the cooler's block against the IHS. You'll need to position the system on its side for this.

Motherboard: ASUS TUF Gaming X870-PLUS WIFI
https://www.asus.com/motherboards-c...es...-PLUS-WIFI
Regarding your motherboard, do you have BIOS version 1404?

Ram: 64GB DDR5 6400MHz - 2x32GB - Corsair vengeance
Do you have a link to the RAM kit?

SSD/HDD: the operating system runs on a 2TB ADATA XPG S70 BLADE NVMe GEN4 (plus several others)
You mentioned several options, how many are relevant here? Have you tried removing all drives except the one with the OS installed?

I haven't checked the CPU yet because it would mean removing and reapplying paste, but logically it seems like a pin might be expanding and functioning when warm, though not when cold.
My RAM was recently changed from Corsair—prices had gone up, which is surprising since I've never seen such a jump before!
I have 2 NVME drives, 1 SSD, 1 HDD, and 1 external drive connected via USB. I haven't taken them out, assuming they're not related, but I could try.
