I believe a 5700X model next year might be cheaper than a 5800X but won't offer any speed boost—it would just be a price reduction. If $50 isn’t a big deal for you, you shouldn’t stress about future Ryzen processors. The next-gen Ryzen chips won’t be available anytime soon.

They haven't been officially announced with specific dates, but their release seems likely around early to mid-2021. It probably comes after Intel introduces its Rocket Lake CPUs in Q1, allowing them to position their pricing strategically.
