Hello everyone. I've been using NordVPN for three years now. My subscription is about to expire. I've relied on this VPN for online privacy and everything seemed okay so far... Almost. The issue started when I paid for a three-year plan that was meant to be renewable. Unfortunately, they now charge for a one-year renewal, which is almost as costly as the original three-year option. Plus, their server count has dropped significantly since 2019. I was really satisfied with NordVPN but feel like the service quality is declining. I'm thinking about switching to CyberGhost, which costs a bit less than NordVPN's current rate for a three-year plan (around 2.69€/month). The support mentioned this price won't change in three years, though I'm not sure. I'm a bit nervous about changing from something I trust to something new, especially after dealing with issues like disappearing free months and unexpected pricing changes. Thank you all for your advice!

Thanks for the suggestion. However, it comes with a significant cost increase compared to the others—$3.33 per month (roughly 3.26€), which is about 21% to 64% higher than the other options at 1.99€ and 2.69€. It appears more expensive overall, though I might be mistaken.

I have ProtonVPN and it's really good. The premium version costs $5/m for a 2 year subscription (I think they do a 1 time charge of $120), but they also have a free version which is really good. From what I can tell the only difference is that the paid one has access to more servers. They've been acquired by McAfee a while ago, really can't recommend that...

I've been using PIA for several years to bypass location restrictions, and they’ve performed well at a reasonable cost—around £40 per year, though the initial sign-up was a £30 deal for two years. They offer server selection across most countries, with speeds that are generally acceptable, though performance can vary depending on your region and content type, sometimes struggling with high-resolution streams. I’m unsure about the level of data they collect or how transparent their privacy practices are. It’s unclear whether they’re truly anonymous or if they provide strong recommendations for tech-savvy users or VPN enthusiasts.

Plus one for proton VPN, enjoy free access with speeds of 100-200MB on a gigabit connection. The paid version would be significantly faster.
