I bought the Mad Max game for a low price and found it boring fast. SoM seems to be the top choice.

I can't say what Mad Max thinks, but Shadow of Mordor met my craving for a top-down shooter at that moment. It could have been worse, but it was good.

SOM did Assassin's Creed better than the original did. It's an excellent game and often comes at a reasonable price. I haven't heard much positive feedback about Mad Max yet.
