On this power supply the AC input isn't clearly marked. Only 1 side says ACN so i suspect that is neutral but i am not sure. I just bought a Fluke 115 multimeter and am still learning how to use it. But i have on at my disposal. How do i check solder points for positive and negative on an AC input. I am going to solder in my own plug real simply. Just want to make sure that i go the solder points right. This is a LOP-500-27 and it has a 2 pin AC input.

You are exploring extremely hazardous conditions, possibly dangerous from below six feet. It appears you lack any understanding of electrical systems. The AC in question has no polarity; it is an alternating current with positive and negative phases changing rapidly. ACN does not always mean neutral—check the diagrams for confirmation. You seem eager to win that Darwin Award.

The data sheet provides limited details. The PDF includes a block diagram of the board with a 3-pin connector, but on my device it shows a 2-pin connector. I'm uncertain about the correct pin configuration.

I am not a fool and I understand that AC doesn't have polarity, but it is typically indicated on walls or power supplies. I've disassembled several power supplies and they all had markings. I'm currently working on a project and need straightforward answers. You're right, I'm not an electrician or engineer.

It's a bit unclear since the diagram seems to have AC L on the FS1 side and ACN on the FS2 side, while your board lists ACN near the FS1 side.

Your point is understandable. It seems there might be another updated data sheet available, or perhaps the board has been revised. I'll look into it further.
