1080p at the top will appear superior since it features AA on high.

Playing at the top quality would likely result in better smoothness.

The optimal choice between the two options depends on your current setup. If you still lack a monitor, the highest quality at 1080 will be best. AA will handle rough details while you enjoy all additional effects. 4k offers smoother edges but may reveal lower resolution textures and effects, which could be amplified. Going for 4k isn't necessary unless you're comfortable with ultra settings.

It varies. The queries are confusing. Generally, the so-called premium graphics cards handle 1080p at top settings and 2160p in higher or mid-range modes.

1080p offers the best quality since at lower resolutions you tend to have a shorter view distance, and certain effects like grass, fog, fire, reflections may not display properly or could disappear entirely.

I haven't set up any monitors yet. I'm curious about choosing between 1440p and 1080p, with 4K as a top choice.

1080p is the best setting, and these options don’t really matter if everything looks blurry.

I would choose 1080p for cost savings. 1440p displays are usually quite costly when compared to 1080p options.

Unless you're working with a 285/380 or 960, you likely won<|pad|> a bit higher. If I owned one 970, I'd probably settle for medium. The exact frame rate can shift a lot depending on the game—ultra 4K at 25 to 50 fps is possible, especially with a free/G sync monitor. Games like GTA V usually suggest medium, while titles such as Dreamfall Chapters can run smoothly at around 45 fps with the highest settings. It really depends on the content.
