Hello! Your system has a solid setup with the Ryzen 5 1600, an 8GB DDR4 memory, and a good GPU. You're thinking about adding more RAM for better performance—definitely feasible. Upgrading to higher-speed or additional memory is possible, especially if you're using DDR4-2666MHz. Just check compatibility with your motherboard and consider getting at least 16GB total for optimal results. If you want faster speeds, look into DDR5 options when the time comes.

Yes, prioritize having two RAM sticks to enable dual-channel performance. The gap between 3000 and 3200 MHz isn't significant, but the Ryzen 1000 series generally can't sustain 3200 MHz efficiently, so opt for 3000 if it's more affordable. Also, verify the timing settings are suitable. Choose C15 or C16 timings over C19.

What is C15 , C16 etc. And what does it do?

There are several ways to improve your setup: a Ryzen 5 1600 works fine but could be upgraded, adding two 8 GB RAM sticks (preferably 3200MHZ or higher) would help, choosing an RX5600 or RTX2060 (possibly a high-end model) adds more power, and you should ensure your PSU is at least 450-550W. A Gigabyte B450M mainboard is sufficient and doesn’t need changing.

your current ram is CL19, which means the access time is in nanoseconds. a higher number indicates slower access and greater latency. aim for lower access times by targeting 3000CL15 or 3200CL16. 3000CL16 also functions adequately.
