I'm setting up a gaming PC for my son and would appreciate some guidance. (Thanks for the earlier discussion!) I have two CPUs: an i7 2600k and an i7 3770 (not K). The motherboard is a Sabertooth P67 with 32GB RAM, and I'm planning to add a GTX 1660 SC Ultra. Which one should I choose? The 2600 or the 3770? The information I found is a bit confusing for someone new. Thanks again!

Overclocking the 2600K will make it quicker. That sabertooth board performs well too. However, if you don’t adjust the settings, the 3770 is a more recent i7 compared to the 2600K, making it preferable.

For better performance, consider attaching a solid cooler and enabling overclocking with the 2600k. The 3770 works fine without those adjustments. Regarding memory, avoid 32GB—16GB should suffice.

The 2600/k matches the 3770/k in performance, offering solid overclock potential; the 2600k might surpass the 3770, but the 3770 remains marginally quicker if you don’t plan to overclock.
