I print a fairly big document (400 pages) often. It's all text and color. My printer works fine, but it can only handle about 35 pages at a time, and sometimes the paper gets tangled in the tray and the pages get mixed up. When I need to publish such a big file, manually organizing the pages isn't practical.
Essentially, I'm looking for a LASER printer—or any other device where the ink stays put even if you sneeze on it, like an inkjet—that can print my 400 pages without attention.
My current cost for the paper and ink is around $50, and I’d rather not increase my expenses.
I’ve read reviews about printers that offer good print quality and speed, but these aren’t essential for my situation.
I need a dependable printer that can handle printing 400 pages of color text automatically and reliably.
There are color printers with large output trays, some with good ratings.
Does anyone here have a similar experience and any advice?
Thanks

And remember the importance of "Speed Cost$". Your 400 page file will require 20 minutes to print at 20 color pages per minute (a reasonable rate for a color printer). If you need it quicker, be ready to pay a significant amount, whether you own or lease your own gear. The cost tends to rise sharply as speed increases.

How much are you willing to invest? Your needs go far beyond typical consumer gear and could easily exceed $5,000. Inkjet technology is completely unsuitable in this case.

I don't really want to spend 5k, but if that's the only option... I'll go ahead. This is what I do for a living.

Consider reaching out to nearby Canon, Konica Minolta, Ricoh or Xerox representatives to inquire about their services. It's possible you're interested in a sorter and duplexer along with the copier/printer. The specialized sellers can help guide you appropriately.

The word "repeatedly" appears multiple times throughout the text.

This venture is still in its early stages, with a $2500 course released only a couple of times each month. I'm working on strategies to boost demand so I can sell a few units weekly. I prefer keeping everything internal, and once the business grows, I plan to bring in someone to manage printing, assembly, packing, and shipping.

Paying a printing service $50 every two months totals $1200 a year, compared to the $5k cost of a commercial printer. It also includes your time handling this in-house printer. Outsourcing isn't always what it seems, particularly when it comes with local options.
