Which power supply to choose along with questions about PSU's
Here are some alternatives you can use:
- Other choices include Super Flower Leadex VII PRO 1000W ATX3.0 Platinum and be quiet! PURE POWER 12 M 1000W.
- The Corsair PSU 1000W RM1000e and Corsair PSU 1000W RM1000x SHIFT are also available.
- Three questions remain about this Super Flower Leadex model compared to the Leadex VII GOLD, which is currently out of stock.
- I need clarification on whether the RMx shift in the Lancool 216 case causes issues due to cable placement from the side.
- I’m considering the Super Flower VII Platinum but it doesn’t appear in the cultists ranking; I’m unsure about the differences to the hold.
- Please help me understand these points, thanks a lot!
Cultist tierlist hasn't been updated in over 18 months, making it unsuitable for ATX3.x PSUs. Check the recommended list at https://hwbusters.com/best_picks/best-at...e-busters/.
The Super Flower Leadex VII XP performs well, but the Pro version differs from the XP and is slightly less powerful as shown in the 1000W chart. Ensure you have the right model.
Skip the Corsair RMe; its fan is poor and produces an irritating sound.
The Pure Power 12M isn't of high quality.
The RMx Shift could face compatibility problems with cases that are smaller than 210mm.
Thanks for the reply but I'm really confused.
I don't know what the Super Flower Leadex VII XP model is, and it doesn't seem to exist on the Super Flower main website. It's only listed as VII Pro Platinum.
I looked up Cybenetics for this and both the XP and PRO models have the same number: SF-1000F14XP.
Here are the links I found:
1. https://www.cybenetics.com/evaluations/psus/2450/
2. https://www.cybenetics.com/evaluations/psus/2194/
The product page I checked is for Leadex vii-xp 1000W at 30BK.
I have no idea which PSU this is, and the one I'm talking about has strange universal connectors—this seems like a problem?
The XP is likely an early version of the Pro. The various connectors are found on the modular board of the PSU and are common for similar SF models. Two connectors are available for the motherboard, while all others are universal, allowing you to use any cable that came with the PSU. Whether it's a CPU, VGA, Sata or molex cable, it doesn't matter.
I see thanks, then this model should be fine quality right?
just abit bummed the VII gold when out of stock I want something good
