Which option offers improved visuals: enhanced graphics or higher screen resolution?
There are many unnecessary visual effects for me! Image quality affects texture scaling!
On my HD4600 iGPU BF4 at 1080p it’s definitely overkill, most people stick to 720p, but even that only maintains around 35-45fps and often drops. Right now I’m running BF4 at 1024x768 with steady 45-60fps and those annoying dips don’t bother me anymore. If it’s all you have, then it’s what you’ve got. For me, going down to lower resolutions gives a smoother feel—better than looking nice but lagging on limited hardware.
Visual quality remains strong throughout the week. Mostly I stream in 900p, using the native resolution on my TV as a secondary monitor. Honestly, I get frustrated when the frame rate falls under 40, so I’m okay with ultra at that setting and will drop to 720p if needed.
