Hey everyone! With the new CPU dropping soon, I'm trying to figure out which upgrade to make first. I just got a used 980 Ti at a pretty low price, upgraded from a GTX 970 (which was around 100 euros). Now I'm thinking about games like Black Ops, Valhalla, and Black Friday—what should I do? I believe upgrading the CPU would give me better frame rates. But I'm on a tight budget and can only upgrade once. My next upgrade won't be for a while, so I need the best option right now. What do you all think?

The i5-6500 has just four threads, which limits its performance in today’s games. Upgrading might be a smart choice, but it depends on your budget and where you shop.

It’s really affordable, can’t go wrong. I’m expecting around 400 to 450 euros. The 3600x should be about 200 euros, and the 5600x will likely sit near 350 euros. Just curious—what upgrades would really boost my FPS and reduce those spikes in games? A new CPU or GPU might make a big difference.

I agree with this. locating a used 3100 or 3300x and a B550 DS3H would cost around $175 (USD) for significantly better performance.

Here are a few ways to phrase your request:

- Highlight the differences in pricing and features.
- Summarize the key variations between the items.
- Present the information clearly for comparison.

You also have the option to retain your existing DDR4 RAM for maximum savings. Performance will decrease slightly, but it remains a significant improvement, and you can upgrade it at any time.

On B450 and A520 boards, overclocking should work well if you're using single-drop RAM; otherwise, consider replacing the RAM or adding a second one.

Thanks everyone! I’ve taken all your feedback into account. I’ll go with the CPU and aim for a 3600! Thanks again!
