I performed a blender stress test using my 5600x at 4.4ghz with full load to check CPU temperature for both applications. The results differed between the two software tools—Core Temp 1.17.1 and Asus Armoury Crate. I believe the Asus version is more reliable since it's developed by ASUS, while the other one seems like a generic online option. What are your thoughts?

Consider using Ryzen Master for better Ryzen chipset readings. HWInfo provides solid accuracy for various metrics as well.

If you notice an unusual reading such as the chipset operating at 250°C+, it suggests a faulty temperature sensor for that component. Be aware that monitoring accuracy relies on the thermal sensors; even small deviations between software readings are normal. I’ve experienced boards that consistently reported chipset temperatures above the stated limit, but upon inspection, they showed no signs of overheating—just strange BIOS values. Similarly, a CPU once displayed readings around 460°C+, yet it never reached that level, as confirmed by the absence of any visible damage. If you encounter an odd reading, verify it yourself. If everything checks out, then the problem likely lies elsewhere.
