I have the necessary criteria for a laptop. I will assess which one fits best and compare the recommended Ryzen CPU to the performance of the two CPUs listed.

Both CPUs were released around the same time... in mid-2020.
The model with the G7 (the Best Buy version) is slightly more capable, featuring 4 cores versus 2 in the other.
But the more powerful one is an open box, which means it carries some risk.
8 GB of RAM shouldn't be a concern—I have that setup and it works perfectly.
The cheaper Asus model only has 4 GB of RAM; that could be an issue.
I assume they're both laptops, as I haven't used one before, so there might be unknown problems not seen in a real laptop or desktop.

Currently, at least 8GB of RAM is considered the standard. With only 4GB, the SSD would perform poorly.

The Ryzen 5 4500U and i5-1135G7 are similar in performance, while the i3 CPU from Asus VivoBook with Windows 11 Home S should handle regular mode efficiently without issues.
