Is it worth investing in WoW? With free max levels characters now available, it’s unclear why anyone would bother leveling up. ArcheAge is what keeps me engaged. This modern MMO brings back the nostalgia of classic open-world hardcore games that older players cherish. It's also free-to-play without a terrible pay system, though not perfect.

More similar to a MOBA, though ArcheAge is fresh and great, Tera was decent. Now it feels like a poor experience, but it's the only MMO with genuine free-to-play value.

I’m currently enjoying Final Fantasy XIV. It’s not a revolutionary game, but it’s well-crafted with that classic Final Fantasy aesthetic. As someone who played vanilla WoW before, I’m thinking about reactivating my account when Warlords of Draenor launches. I still have a few friends in WoW, and it’d be fun to explore the new dungeons and raids together.
