Hello everyone. I'm looking for the best motherboard for the 3700X. I want Taichi X570, but it's a bit pricey. Should I consider alternatives? What options are available? Also, I need to build an AIO 3x120mm on my case, and I have about $75 left for the case. Thanks for your advice!

PCPartPicker list shows various components at different prices. A quiet CPU cooler from Dark Rock Pro 4 costs $86.46 and pairs well with the Asus TUF GAMING X570-PLUS ATX AM4 board for $189.99. The Meshify C case is available for $98.99 on Walmart. All prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts, bringing the total to $375.44. This selection offers strong VRM performance similar to the Taichi. For better reliability and quieter operation, consider a premium air cooler rather than an AIO. An alternative to the DRP4 is the NH-D15 chromax.black, though it’s a bit pricier. The Meshify C remains a solid choice for value, especially after accounting for savings on the motherboard and cooler.

It depends on the specific features you're aiming for, and power delivery quality is an important factor. You might still be able to purchase a B450 or X470 board if you don't require Gen 4 PCIe but want additional capabilities. Think about your needs regarding built-in components like Wi-Fi, high-speed LAN ports, USB ports and headers, SATA ports, and Thunderbolt support. Remember, if you spot a good deal missing something essential, you can easily add a PCI-E card to cover the gap. The Tuf X570 is a solid option overall, and it's definitely worth considering based on your requirements.

I noticed the motherboard, but someone advised against it. I don’t recall the reason, but I remember not wanting to take it after that. Now I’ll likely choose TuF. The case looks decent, and I plan to look for similar ones. I’m definitely going with Liquid Freezer II 360.

I understand I can choose B450, but I’m sure I’ll opt for x570 myself. P.S., which RAM should I pick for the 3700X? I prefer RGB, but it’s not the main concern. I think a 3600Mhz would be better, though that’s still a question. I just don’t want something too expensive. Edited April 17, 2020 by Salemanijak
