If you had 1000-1200 euros in Ireland, I’d suggest three gaming laptops based on performance and value. These models offer strong processing power, good graphics, and reliable build quality for gaming needs.

I suggest a gaming laptop from Asus featuring an i5 or i7 processor, 1060Ti or higher with 16GB RAM. These devices consistently rank highest in quality and dependability, while delivering excellent performance.

I also recommend an HP gaming laptop with an i5 or i7 processor, 1060Ti or better with 16GB RAM. HP laptops are known for their high standards, especially their Omen models, which offer strong cooling, long battery life, and other solid features.

Lastly, I would consider a Dell gaming laptop with an i5 or i7 processor, 1060Ti or higher with 16GB RAM. They rank third because while Dell laptops often use more plastic than metal and are slightly heavier, they still provide top-tier quality, reliability, and performance.

For specific models, you’ll need to check the details yourself. As long as the laptop is from one of these three brands and meets the processor, GPU, and RAM requirements, you’re set. Other factors like screen size, design, RGB lighting, storage options, battery life, and included accessories mainly affect price rather than performance. Your budget will guide your choice.

Are you sure about the details, or is this just a general concern?
I believe you're referring to the 1660ti instead of the 1060ti.

Other brands and models have their own considerations. I wouldn’t choose a Dell since their BIOS restrictions prevent you from undervolting Intel chips, which is important for lowering temperatures.
While @TommyTwoTone66 brings up some solid arguments, there are also misleading points. It looks like problems extend beyond MSI, especially with Ryzen laptops that already deliver strong performance and cooler components right out of the box.

When referring to Dell, it includes Alienware as part of its product lineup.

Alienware works fine, but they usually use i9 CPUs or faster AMD chips, which raises the cost a lot without really helping gaming performance. The displays are also better with quicker refresh rates, which is important if you intend to rely on the screen for your main gaming setup. However, this doesn’t matter much if you mainly use an external monitor, which is what most gaming laptop users do.

I’d prefer the standard Dell G15 over Alienware. It has essentially the same hardware except for a less powerful CPU, making temperatures easier to manage and keeping FPS stable.
