Moved to laptop forum because it fits better for this discussion.
I picked two laptops from Amazon:
- MSI Crosshair 15 B12UEZ-677IN
- ASUS TUF Gaming F17 (2022) FX707ZM-HX030WS

Both share similar specifications, though the MSI model features a QHD display at 165Hz, an RTX 3060 with Optimus, and DDR4 3200 MHz RAM. The ASUS model offers an FHD display at 144Hz, an RTX 3060 with MUX switch, and DDR5 4800MHz RAM.

Which one should I select?
Refer to the graphics description screenshot from their official product pages.
For the MSI version, how can I address the iGPU bottleneck?
Disabling the Optimus won’t necessarily match the performance of using the MUX switch.
What are the drawbacks of turning off Optimus?

I usually power on with a charger while gaming, so battery life shouldn’t be a concern.
I don’t have an external monitor and prefer not to purchase one.
Which one offers better software support?
MSI Dragon Center or Asus Armory Crate?

Also, please share your thoughts on their build quality—whose model is more durable?

Note sure there is anything you can do about this.
I'm not sure it will even let you do this without a MUX switch, the negatives normally of disabling Optimus is poor battery life.
I prefer Dragon Centre personally.
I'm not that familiar with the Crosshair but the Asus Tuf Dash F15/F17 are relatively solid. I prefer 15" laptops personally but my preference would be for the Asus Tuf.
