Considering RAM and the cost, should you allocate the additional $15 for a 3600MHz option when the CAS latency is 18 instead of 3200MHz at CAS 16? This is relevant for 64GB kits.

Latency can be approximated by comparing Frequency to CAS Latency. This means 3600C18 equals 3200C16. For accurate results, aim for 3600MHz since higher bandwidth mainly depends on frequency. Also, 3200MHz CL16 often suffers from poor Hynix AFR and MFR quality, making it hard to reach 3600MHz even with manual overclocking.

In theory, you should match a top-tier CPU with premium RAM. I’d suggest the 3600CL18.
