Which cpu?
Which cpu?
You're sure this topic has been covered before? I tried to find a solid response but couldn't. Right now I own a Ryzen 2400G built for budget gaming. After adding an RX 580 GPU, I still use the ASRock B450M-HDV motherboard with 16GB dual-channel RAM. I'm planning to upgrade the CPU since I don’t need integrated graphics and they’re holding their value well on the used market. I’m torn between a 2600 and a 3300X. I know the 3300X performs better in gaming at 1080p, but I’m worried it might limit other parts of my setup. The prices should be around £80 for the 2600 and £95 for the 3300X, so it’s mainly about performance here.
You're searching for the 3300x at a low cost, possibly under £115.
They mentioned the price would be near £100 with stock available, but I’ve only noticed pre-orders online matching that amount.
It's not the best setup, but it should handle a 6-core CPU. According to GN's tests, the 3300X performs comparably or just edges out an overclocked 8086K. It only lags slightly at 1080p with a 2080Ti GPU, especially when framerates are high. I recommend choosing the 3300X.
@Mateyyy I didn't catch the GN video, I'm waiting until the 3300x version is ready before proceeding...
