Hello Everyone,
I am considering purchasing a new laptop and am unsure which option to choose between the two listed:
https://www.currys.co.uk/products/a...ry...84281.html
and
https://www.dell.com/en-uk/shop/lap...-l...b1625009sc.
The price difference is 100£.
I mainly require performance for work tasks such as SSMS, Power BI, and other demanding applications.
Thank you in advance.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
Other heavy users of resources would find it helpful to list them.
When comparing the Ryzen 9 and the Ultra 9, I’d lean toward the Ryzen equipped laptop.

Scores based on a widely recognized standard:
Amd Ryzen AI 9 HX 370; 12 cores, 24 threads
Single Thread Rating 3967
Multithread Rating 35125
258v; 8 cores, 8 threads
Single Thread Rating 4045
Multithread Rating 18982
288v; 8 cores, 8 threads
Single Thread Rating 4337
Multithread Rating 20207
In a way… it seems AMD shows a clear edge if your software can exploit the core benefits of this architecture. If not, Intel might be a better fit for your needs.
I have no idea.
