The parts they just purchased include an ASUS TUF B450-PRO gaming PC, an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 Wraith Stealth CPU, and Hvid PURE BASE 500 RAM. The RAM won’t reach its maximum speed immediately, and the case may overheat if not addressed. There’s no need to change BIOS settings unless you want specific performance tweaks.

There exists an XMP profile that is typically enabled, for Asus Tuf it should reside in AI Tweaker, while mine defaults to the first choice. This configuration should configure your RAM to achieve the advertised speed. After that, unless you wish to proceed with CPU overclocking, additional steps are unnecessary. It’s advisable to refresh your BIOS prior to implementing the XMP profile. For overclocking purposes, detailed guidance in forums would be more helpful before diving in. Profile check with XMP is fine—no plans to overhaul it, that’s a good move.

You may have heard about concerns regarding the voltage on motherboards being really high, like 1.45v, but my understanding is that it has now been shown that underload that voltage changes so it is not relevant anymore. I could be wrong on that, but if I am, I am sure someone will enlighten us.
