So it looks like Windows has its own audio driver that forces itself on top of everything else. I remember having a Realtek audio popup showing all the settings for surround and stuff when I plugged in an audio device in Windows 7. What happened to that feature? I am currently using Windows 11 with a Z690 motherboard sound panel, but I have Logitech Z506 speakers. The rear sounds are very echoey and they sound like they are running on the regular front speaker signal instead of getting their own dedicated settings. Is there any way to get an old Realtek popup panel that forces surround instead of this lack of options from Windows?
