When I connect any keyboard, my computer keeps rapidly pressing countless keys. I've tested various keyboards, USB ports, and even reinstalled drivers. This happened while using my phone nearby—suddenly random programs opened on my laptop and the keyboard seemed to be active. After plugging it in again, the computer restarted once but the problem persisted. The second reset didn’t fix it; instead, I received a frozen message (attached). Could this be a virus?

Can you provide some more info about the system. Which OS are you packing, which motherboard is it? Can you plug in an external keyboard and by any chance if your laptop BIOS contains a disable keyboard option so we can rule out if the keyboard is Hardware level fine.

I've used two distinct keyboards. Nothing functions, and I've tested various USB ports. It's a Windows 10 PC with an Intel i7 4790K, 16 GB RAM, GTX 1660, motherboard Z97.

It seems you're working with the EFI shell on certain boards. You need to access the BIOS and verify the boot sequence. Ensure "Windows Boot Manager" is selected as the first option if using EFI mode; otherwise, choose the drive where your OS is installed in Legacy or CSM mode. The output indicates a few SATA drives are still connected, which suggests the Windows boot configuration might be intact, but further checks could reveal issues.

It seems odd if the keyboard functions properly on another device but causes issues when connected to your main computer.
