You just set up Windows 10 on a PC with an i5 2400, but after a short while it crashes into a black screen. After trying to reinstall, the issue persists. You're looking for assistance.

Are you connected to the internet? I noticed similar setups before, and it seems updating Windows can sometimes cause issues with drives. You might need to add drives manually or turn off update drivers before connecting to the network.

Windows 10 doesn't appear to support very old CPUs in its official documentation. The list provided doesn't include it. For running an older machine, consider using Linux—either Linux Mint or Zorin OS would be good options. If you need gaming performance, Zorin OS is the better choice.
