I powered down and unplugged my PC to clear out dust. All connectors remained untouched, undamaged, and unchanged after I noticed the problem. I rechecked the BIOS settings and made adjustments, but nothing helped. The fans kept spinning nonstop while Windows was running, only slowing down to a steady speed in BIOS. I’ve tried tweaking the fan curve, switching PWM to DC smart sensor on/off, changing multiple BIOS settings, yet no improvement.

Verify your temperatures using HWMonitor or your chosen tool. It seems the cooling fan might have shifted slightly during cleaning.

I verified the CPU cooler, fan, system fans, and everything was securely attached and connected properly. I even reattached the fans to the MOBO. It’s unclear why they’re still running. Temperatures are stable at 29-30°C with minimal usage and the GPU performing consistently. Appreciate your help!

Do you think the fan splitter could be damaged and might need fixing? The BIOS was reset to the default setting, and after removing the CMOS battery, the problem persists.

I verified the connections and mounting, everything looks okay. I ran repair scripts to confirm the installation. I also attempted to install Windows on another SSD, and it performed similarly. It might be related to the motherboard or PSU.

The BIOS might have a setting for fan speed. If concerned about a splitter, you can attempt to bypass it and connect just one fan to check the effect.
