Hello, I currently own a 5800x and recently bought a 5070 Ti. I’m facing a significant bottleneck. I looked into a 5700X3D but believe AM5 is the more suitable choice here. The components I was thinking about are:
Mobo: MSI MAG B850
CPU: Ryzen 9800X3D
RAM: G.SKILL Trident 2x16GB
I’m not planning to upgrade my GPU for a long time, so will these parts provide the best performance? My monitor runs at 165hz and I aim for as close to my 157 fps limit as possible. In Battlefield 6, I struggle to exceed 100 fps on smaller maps—will AM5 help improve this and increase my frame rate?
Additionally, I’m a bit worried about not having access to a laptop or PC during the upgrade. If I buy these parts, can I transfer just the BIOS onto one USB stick and install my current SSD into the new build using Windows updates? Or do I need to clean the drive beforehand?
I don't plan on upgrading my GPU for a very long time, will these parts above give me the best performance possible?

can I put just the BIOS on it and put my current SSD into my new build and load windows up to do a fresh install that way?
You will need to reinstall the OS if and when you're swapping motherboards. you can chance it and if you encounter BSoD's, you're back to square one(having to run around and reinstall the OS).

and you don't need a processor, ram or storage to flash the BIOS.
Lastly, I tend to keep 2 USB thumb drives handy, one with BIOS and the latest driver versions on it while the other has the OS on it(bootable USB installer).

I might consider purchasing another USB stick because they're quite affordable. I recently replaced my PSU when I bought the 5070 Ti a few weeks ago, and it's brand new.
I plan to replace the missing parts with components I already have.

Thank you, yes it's the MSI Mag motherboard. Should I install a BIOS file on it for the CPU to function properly? I recall doing that for my current MSI Mag Tomahawk with a 5800X CPU.
All the games I've installed so far never exceed 60% GPU usage, while my CPU stays above 80-100% depending on the title. Cyberpunk reached its GPU limit at around 80%, and my CPU hit 90%.

I'll ask again, which board out of the three are you looking at? Ideally you should be on the latest BIOS version but if everything works out of the box, leave it be. You forgot to include the link to the ram kit you're looking at. You'll need an aftermarket cooler for that 9800X3D btw.

G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo EXPO 32GB DDR5 kit with 2x16GB, 48000C30 at 6000MHz is also included.
Noctua NH-D15 chromax black is ready to go.

The main issue is that Battlefield 6 is having trouble. I'm stuck at 157 fps, and even on small maps I can't keep a steady 100 fps. My FPS drops to about 85 and it's really frustrating.
I used a 3070 FE and it feels like the 5070 Ti is running the same way during the Battlefield 6 test. It looks like the game is no longer available, and I'm still having trouble getting high FPS even after setting up the graphics properly.
It seems putting all my components online will confirm they fit in my case. I'll verify again tomorrow when I'm back home with the full specifications. I own a Phanteks Eclipse P500 Air ATX case with tempered glass DRGB satin black finish. Do you think the RAM will fit with that cooler? Also, the cooler you mentioned isn't familiar to me, and it's cheaper than what I had listed. Is it also smaller?

The RAM you chose has AMD's E.X.P.O and should work with the system. The Royal Pretor 130 is more affordable and performs well for its price. Everything seems to be in order!
