Personally, it doesn't fit my needs right now... I'm a big fan of Windows and all the professional accolades I get are tied to it. I already have Steam on my Windows PC, so adding it to another drive or partition would be unnecessary. Plus, most games I play don't run well on Linux. Maybe in a few years I'll set up a small PC in the living room and install Steam OS there.

Could you try installing it on your laptop and watching content from your desktop? If it works well, it could serve as an excellent home theater setup beyond just gaming.
