Certainly, the optimal reference is based on YOUR compiler, peripherals, and data. Without that advantage, single-threaded tests become the only option. I don’t understand how CPU-Z handles instructions, but I’m guessing it’s chosen fairly well. Could you check the user forum for your compiler? They might offer more useful comparisons.
Previously, the rule was "the higher the frequency, the higher the speed". However, I explored statistics from users with a modern Ryzen CPU. The compiler creates executable files using outdated CPU instructions since the generated program must work on all systems from Win98 to Win11. This could be the reason behind the situation. But now it's irrelevant. I fixed my old motherboard, it functioned for a short time before failing again, so I’m looking for a new machine.
