When I turn the computer on, I get only one beep sound but no other action comes out?
Hey there, suddenly my computer is acting weird. I haven't replaced parts in a whole year, and I just turned it on today when this started happening: The computer makes one beep while checking if everything is fine (POST), then it doesn't start up at all. It sits right on the motherboard screen with nothing but text flashing. At that point, I hit the DEL or F2 key hoping to enter the BIOS setup, but it sits there for about a minute before finally trying to load the BIOS settings. Actually, if I just press another key to exit the BIOS without restarting, I can get into Windows. It takes much longer than normal to get into Windows anyway. If I restart the computer from within the BIOS, I go back to exactly the same place where everything hangs at the splash screen unless I enter the BIOS. I wrote this on that specific computer. Any ideas?
