here is the list of parts you need for a new build. First, remove your old power supply and mechanical hard drive. Buy a second M.2 drive instead. Change the motherboard to one with an AMD B850 chipset. I personally suggest upgrading your case if you have a 1080p monitor that runs at 60 or 75 Hz; get a bigger screen with more pixels, like a 1440p panel running at higher refresh rates instead. Here is what we need: CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor (€496.00) Cooler: ID-COOLING FROZN A620 BLACK cooler for your CPU (€59.99) Motherboard: MSI MAG B850 TOMAHAWK MAX WIFI motherboard (€239.00) RAM: Kingston FURY Beast 64 GB of DDR5 memory (€184.90) Storage: Western Digital WD_BLACK SN7100 2TB NVMe SSD (€124.90) Another storage option is the Verbatim Vi7000G 4TB NVMe drive (€235.90) Graphics card: Asus PRIME OC Radeon RX 9070 XT graphics card with 16GB of video memory (€739.00) Case: Montech AIR 903 BASE mid-tower case (€66.90) Power supply: NZXT C1000 2024 power supply unit rated for 1000W and certified as Gold Certified (€153.29) Monitor: Gigabyte GS27QA monitor with a screen size of 27 inches, resolution of 2560 by 1440 pixels, and a refresh rate of 180 Hz (€167.90) The total cost comes to €2467.78. This list includes shipping fees, taxes, and discounts when they are available. Generated by PCPartPicker on May 16, 2025 at 23:32 CEST+0200

This newest generation of AMD and Nvidia graphics chips can run on PCIe 5.0 technology, so I should look for a motherboard that supports it too. That setup makes your hard drive much faster and gives you a nice 1440p gaming monitor. This Asus card comes with two BIOS versions just to keep the fans quiet. @Valkyrie95 this board has a lot of lanes and bandwidth for many M.2 SSDs. Change the current one out with the one above and add this drive to that build, so you get 6TB total storage. https://www.hind.ee/search?q=MSI+X670E+GAMING+PLUS+WIFI https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/X670E-GAMING-PLUS-WIFI MSI X670E GAMING PLUS WIFI €231.87 https://www.hind.ee/p/lexar-nm790-m-2-2tb Lexar NM790 2TB M.2 PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe SSD €122.45 Total: €1995.34

I'm not sure if I need to touch on Nvidia right now. Not because AMD is my usual choice, but mainly because of driver problems and other headaches with Nvidia. It's not just that I want AMD either way. I'll wait and see what Intel brings with the b770 card before making a decision. For the 870 series, the 650 and 670 chips are totally useless at this point. I am sticking with my ROG crosshair X670e Gene because it's an upgrade board that should work well until we switch to AM6.

Hi everyone, thanks for all the help and sorry I'm slow to reply. After checking things out a bit more, here is my build plan to keep everything as it should be without changing anything else. Please let me know your thoughts: Is the power supply really bad? Or is the motherboard not strong enough compared to the CPU/GPU?
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/dtxsfd
1. AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D 5.2GHz AM5 8C/16T processor
2. MSI B850 GAMING PLUS WIFI motherboard with AM5 socket and DDR5 support
3. Kingston FURY Beast Black EXPO RAM: 32GB (two sticks of 16GB) running at 6000 MT/s, low latency CL30
4. Two storage options:
a. One KINGSTON NVMe SSD using the M.2 slot on my motherboard (2280 size).
b. One Seagate Barracuda SATA hard drive for big data capacity (also 4TB and 3.0 speed).
5. A third KINGSTON M.2 PCIe 4.0 SSD to hold Windows and programs, as others suggested this would be useful.
6. MSI MAG A850GL power supply rated at 850W Gold for the load of these parts.
7. Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE cooling fan that fits my CPU cooler with a 120mm size.
8. Kolink Unity Lateral ARGB Midi-Tower computer case in black.
9. ASUS TUF Gaming Radeon RX 9070 XT OC Edition graphics card: 16GB of GDDR6 memory for gaming.

Thanks so much in advance!
