Ensuring you're using the correct specifications and confirming your operating system is essential for optimal performance.

I did it, thank you. I really appreciate it if you can help me figure out how to solve this.

Open Task Manager and Resource Monitor to monitor performance. Use each tool individually, keeping one window open for observation. Note changes in system behavior, resource consumption percentages, and which components are active during performance issues. Focus especially on freezes or stutters, as they often indicate high demand. Generally, excessive resource usage is likely the cause.

everything appeared fine and the game functions properly when I exit it, but it freezes again as soon as I return. I believe this is how Nvidia manages dual screens on a laptop—one being the internal Intel UHD display and the other the NVida GPU display. View: https://vimeo.com/697215689

Uncertain about the situation: Are you playing Elden Ring and the CPU is at 43.6%? I’m not fully aware of the game’s resource needs or current status, but it seems the laptop struggles to handle joint gameplay and recording tasks. Vimeo displays a video header in the upper right corner, which obstructs my view. Try reducing background apps and tools. If needed, capture another video. Keep the camera steady, move slowly, and hold longer on the subject. Make it easy for viewers to pause for closer inspection. Share the video via imgur if possible (www.imgur.com).

the video

shows the same laptop but with the external monitor disconnected. recording works smoothly even when the game doesn’t freeze completely.

Per the imgur video:
Task Manager showing Memory and GPU at very high %'s with second monitor connected.
What % 's does Task Manager show when second monitor is disconnected/unplugged?
Do the same comparison using Resource Monitor as well.
Do the comparison with and without Shadow Play.
Overall my thought is that two monitors/screens plus recording is straining system resources.
Objective being to determine if that is indeed what is happening.
