WHEA triggers during startup repeatedly
Unusual issue that appears right after launching HWinfo64 on the desktop remains consistent every time. It seems like a persistent error. Could you help identify the source? Ideally, a solution would be useful. Possible causes might include nVME SSD or graphics card issues, though the exact reason isn't clear yet.
Late this week, several blue screens have appeared. Your Even Viewer shared their thoughts on it.
only one? i get hundreds... and yes, this is a common and known issue. you should be happy it's just one and doesn't cause BSOD, which it does for many people. And no, i don't have a fix, because there are so many, and most don't work , best to google your processor and error tbh, lots of reddit theads etc about this issue. Also do you have Afterburner running? lately im only getting these with afterburner running, if it doesn't run, no errors. (wasnt always like that , weirdly )
No blue screens at all. I attempted to overclock my CPU after a while and saw it happen. However, with ATTO there are no WHEA errors. The GPU is overclocked but still performs well on benchmarks. I haven’t checked the Event Viewer yet—I’m not sure what to search for. Yes, the afterburner is active at startup... I’ll investigate further.
You're taking it seriously, and I get it. It seems like the situation is pointing toward a specific manufacturer—Nvidia, possibly with Microsoft or AMD involved. They've mentioned ongoing efforts to resolve the issue, which has been ongoing for several years.
I handle my work with precision... (My role in IT keeps me focused on these tasks)
It varies for each system, which makes fixing it challenging or even impossible at times. While I personally experienced it differently, I eventually understood it. Recently, afterburner seems to cause it again. You might try updating the chipset and BIOS, but that doesn’t always work and could make things worse. Since you only have one or a few units and no backup, it’s not a big deal.
