1. My Issue
Four days ago I encountered a warning message from the software. The computer operated smoothly for a year before three days ago it restarted by itself while playing Crusader Kings 3. After that, similar events occurred during gaming apps after roughly 5 to 10 minutes. The event viewer logged these errors:
Volume Shadow Copy Service error: An unexpected issue happened when calling the function "CoCreateInstance." hr = 0x8007045b, The computer is shutting down. Source: VSS, Event ID: 8193
Volume Shadow Copy Service details: "The COM server with CLSID and name 'CEventSystem' cannot be started. [0x8007045b, The computer is shutting down.] Source: VSS, Event ID: 13"
I reinstalled Windows 11, but the problem continued. This time it showed a different message:

Critical hardware error

Error source: Machine Check Exception
Error type: Cache Hierarchy Error
Processor APIC ID: 5
Temperatures are below 70 degrees.
2. What I've Already Attempted:
I reinstalled Windows 11 Pro and updated the BIOS.
Activated and deactivated the XMP profile.
Tested individual RAM modules.
Checked my old Ryzen 5 3600 CPU.
None of these steps resolved the issue.
In other discussions, people mentioned it might be linked to VDDG CCD / IOD settings if they are too low. Any thoughts?
Otherwise, I purchased a motherboard and a graphics card to further examine these parts.

The age of the unit matters—even if the PSU is brand new, your power supply isn’t suitable for this build.

It’s best not to combine different RAM kits. Use one kit and install it in slots A2 and B2 only.

Hope the shadow copy can postpone the shutdown until the backup is complete.
(Unless it was forced, then the shadow copy would simply discard files not saved to disk.)
For instance, when copying a drive to another, the system reports completion but actually sends the file to the shadow copy service for later transfer.
If you force a shutdown, the service should attempt to stop it, though you can override and risk losing data.
In your situation, the shutdown began before the shadow service started, preventing it from beginning the transfer.
I would disregard this issue and focus on other potential problems.
You must replace the power supply unit at least once, even if it doesn't seem connected to this problem; otherwise, you'll likely face issues later with your weak PSU. Does your computer display a blue screen when it restarts? If not, I'd say your PSU is either failing under stress or has been damaged trying to keep things running. Get the PSU tested before removing the motherboard and graphics card.
Yes, a brownout in the power supply can activate the protection circuits on the motherboard, leading to an automatic shutdown of the CPU. This might account for the log entry from the shadow copy service if you didn’t trigger a shutdown. Typically, you’d see a blank screen, while the PSU sends a fake power confirmation signal to the motherboard, causing the CPU to restart right away and then triggering a bugcheck 0x124 during the next boot. Check for a suitable power supply rated for your system. I even installed an overrated one so the fans don’t run constantly, just to lower noise and support a better GPU (if prices drop).
For a CPU that starts unstable due to power issues after a motherboard protection reset, it will encounter cache memory errors, prompting another shutdown. I believe this matches what the log shows:
